- Overseeing large and small port master planning studies, on behalf of international port clients, including port authorities and global terminal operators
- Planning and design of small as well as large, complex port terminals in different phases and levels of automation, including the oversight of terminal simulation studies using discreet event simulation
- Contributing to the digitalisation and sustainability of port and terminal master planning
- Performing technical due diligence studies and audits
- Preparation of high-quality reports, presentations and workshops
- Developing proposals and commercial offers
- Promotion of the work of the team within the company and at industry events
- A Master’s degree (MSc), preferably in (civil) engineering
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience, preferably in an engineering consultancy or similar organisation
- Proven experience in leading and delivering port master planning studies for port authorities, investors and operators
- Proven experience in working on technical due diligence projects for port clients and investors
- Proven experience of collaborative working in teams and with other disciplines
- External network of port industry clients
- Capable of undertaking assignments effectively to achieve technically sound, timely and cost-effective results
- Other relevant experience in the port and maritime infrastructure sector (e.g. design, construction, operations)
- Experience of terminal automation would be advantageous
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written (English) (Dutch language is an advantage)
- Good listener
