- Manage design activities for both greenfield and brownfield projects; capable of handling multiple smaller projects simultaneously.
- Liaise and communicate effectively with various internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate with other disciplines, including maintenance and engineering teams.
- Track progress and productivity; initiate corrective actions when necessary to maintain schedule and quality.
- Ensure consistency and accuracy across all design deliverables and technical drawings.
- Participate in project meetings when required.
- Provide design input to the drafting team via sketches and markups.
- Perform drafting modifications using AutoCAD and SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI).
- Prepare and verify design deliverables including: Block diagrams, Instrumentation and control room layouts, Cable tray layouts, Installation details, Loop diagrams, Terminal lists, Instrument datasheets, Wiring diagrams
- Develop clash-free designs and participate in inter-discipline coordination.
- Review drawings from other disciplines when needed.
- Issue engineering drawings for Inter-Discipline Checks (IDCs).
- Collaborate with the construction team to resolve site queries and clarifications.
- Review and update as-built drawings and prepare the final as-built documentation package for the client.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and SPI.
- Solid understanding of safety and quality standards.
- Familiarity with international design standards and codes such as IEC, ISA, and ISO.
- High school diploma with additional qualifications in Electrical or Instrumentation Design, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with a major contractor or consultancy in the oil & gas or chemical sectors.
