Job Description:At Applied Medical, we manufacture surgical devices for a wide range of specialties in-house. Due to the growing global demand, and with the expansion of our teams and our production capabilities in Amersfoort, we are therefore looking for a proactive Test Technician to join our Engineering team.
As a Test Technician, you will support the engineering team on tasks and tests aimed at setting up new manufacturing processes and/or improving the processes already in place. Tasks will include performing testing, adhering to validated procedures, performing product measurements according to established engineering drawings, and organizing and planning testing related activities when needed. Some of the tasks will take place within a cleanroom environment. In this position, you will start by building your understanding of our processes, procedures, and products by working on your own tasks with support from various engineers in your team.You will be part of the Applied Medical Europe, located in Amersfoort, and report to the Process Engineer. Within Applied Medical this position has the internal job title of Engineering Technician.Key Responsibilities
  • Perform various testing tasks according to controlled documents
  • Perform measurements according to predetermined specifications
  • Organize tasks and set priorities accordingly during planning and execution
  • Develop and update documents such as engineering drawing, work instruction, test procedure as well as test protocol and report
  • Review and evaluate non-conforming materials
What you bring
  • MBO education level 4 in technical fields or equivalent experience
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
  • Ability to understand, follow, and document well-defined and detailed procedures
  • Ability to adjust and adapt to rapidly evolving situations
  • Proficient in MS Office
Nice to have
  • Hands on experience with mechanical test equipment
  • Good understanding of engineering technical drawings
  • Familiarity with CAD software (preferably Solidworks)
