We are looking for a mechatronics/measurement architect in our functional design team.Our teamIn our Stage Position Measurement (SPM) group within the sector Development & Engineering (D&E) we improve the accuracy, throughput and reliability of the position sensors byImproving the interferometer and encoder sensor designs together with our suppliers.Improving complex algorithms in our drivers and calibrations together with our software teams, linking our measurement system to other ASML functional competences.Improving our electronics and mechanical designs together with dedicated electronics and mechanics development teams.Job DescriptionWorking as an SPM architect means:Providing technical direction by making design choices and defining solution packages for the next generation of NXE system and structural issues for the systems in the field, together with the project lead and function ownerBeing the technical interface between our SPM teams, system engineering and other function teams.Investigating complex puzzles related to our measurement systems and working together with other ASML teams to define containments and structural solutions.Supporting design engineers in specifying and qualifying solutions delivered by our development teams.Working in a young, enthusiastic team with a nice atmosphere, where we also pay attention to non-work-related activities.Education and experienceUniversity, Master in Physics, Mechatronics or Mechanical EngineeringMore than 7 years development experience,Experience in senior design engineer or architectExperience with optical sensor development or more specifically interferometersStrong in mathematicsYou have good knowledge in: Optics, Opto-mechanics, Mechatronics, Physics, Mathematics, Software development.Matlab (and Python) for data analysis and simulationPersonal skillsCritical Thinking.
