- Act as the responsible pharmacist overseeing all aspects of pharmacy operations, including prescription dispensing and compliance with EU & Dutch regulations.
- Ensure compliance with EU & Dutch law, IGJ, and GDP guidelines
- Supervise the dispensing process for prescriptions (Rx) and manage secure electronic prescription validation and fulfil digital prescriptions.
- Coordinate with our UK Head Office to align digital operations with local regulatory requirements in the Netherlands.
- Implement and maintain quality assurance protocols, including Good Distribution Practices (GDP) if applicable.
- Prepare and maintain regulatory documentation for audits, inspections, and compliance certifications.
- Advise patients on medication use, interactions, and best practices.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Dutch health authorities such as IGJ and other relevant regulatory bodies.
- Provide strategic input on digital innovations and improvements for online service delivery while ensuring patient safety and data security.
- Supervise daily operations (especially for Rx fulfilment)
- Help define workflows between the digital platform and the physical pharmacy
- Licensed Pharmacist (Master’s degree in Pharmacy)
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a Dutch pharmacy, particularly with digital or online pharmacy operations.
- Thorough knowledge of Dutch pharmaceutical laws and standards
- Native communication skills in Dutch, excellent proficiency in English
- Knowledge of French is a major plus.
- Eligible to be appointed as “Verantwoordelijke Apotheker” for IGJ compliance.
- BIG Registration
- Familiar with GDP (Good Distribution Practice) and safe storage protocols.
- Experience preparing for IGJ audits or writing pharmacy SOPs is highly valued.
- Experience managing both physical and online pharmacy services is preferred.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with international teams.
- Comfortable working with digital systems and e-commerce platforms
- Understanding of GDPR and patient data protection in healthcare settings.
- Strong sense of responsibility and professional ethics
- Willingness to obtain a VOG (Certificate of Good Conduct), if requested by regulators.
- Familiar with GDPR, Dutch public health code, and Dutch rules around online sale and advertising of medications.
