As part of Valsoft Corporation, M&I continues to expand its global reach, delivering adaptable and user-friendly solutions that meet the evolving needs of broadcasters worldwide.We are currently seeking an Assistant Financial Controller to join our dynamic team.Your ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting:
  • Preparation and review of financial statements, including income statements and balance sheets for each division.
  • Ensure that all financial information is accurate, consistent, and compliant with accounting principles and relevant regulations.
  • Participation in the completion of audit engagements and compliance requirements, including the IFRS transition.
Monthly Close:
  • Month-end entries and allocations: Includes GL reconciliations, journal entry booking, and salary and department cost allocations.
  • Accruals and provisions: Manage bonuses/commissions accruals and AFDA provisions for bad debts.
  • Payroll and tax reporting: Prepare payroll reports and tax/transfer pricing entries.
  • Financial reconciliations: Finalize monthly entries, reconcile balance sheet and bank accounts.
  • P&L Analysis and FS Preparation: Analyze the Profit and Loss statement, and prepare Financial Statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement).
  • MD result review and process improvements: Review results with controller insights, improve processes, and document financial procedures.
Financial Analysis:
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis, comparing actual performance against budgeted figures and providing variance analysis.
  • Identify financial trends, opportunities, and potential risks, enabling management to make informed decisions to improve divisional performance.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Rolling/Active forecast preparation: Develop and maintain the annual budgeting process and regularly update forecasts.
  • KPI Tracking: Collaborate with department heads to gather relevant data and assumptions and provide financial insights to key stakeholders
Additional Tasks:
  • Cash Flow reporting and analysis.
  • MBR Deck preparation.
  • Churn reporting.
  • AR/AP oversight.
  • Financial Integration.
  • Tax/Annual Account filing.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, CPA highly preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience in an accounting or finance role (experience in a Big 4 firm preferred).
  • Knowledge of accounting principles (Dutch GAAP and IFRS).
  • Proficiency in both written and verbal English and Dutch is required

  • Opstellen en reviewen van financiële overzichten (winst- en verliesrekeningen, balansen).
  • Zorgen voor nauwkeurige en conforme rapportage (Dutch GAAP en IFRS).
  • Ondersteuning bij audittrajecten en wettelijke rapportageverplichtingen.
Maandafsluiting & Boekhouding
  • Voorbereiden van maandelijkse journaalposten, salarisverdelingen en kostenallocaties.
  • Beheren van voorzieningen (bonussen, dubieuze debiteuren, etc.).
  • Payroll-rapportage en fiscale boekingen (waaronder transfer pricing).
  • Reconciliaties van grootboek, balans en bankrekeningen.
  • Opstellen van financiële statements (P&L, balans, kasstroomoverzicht).
Financiële Analyse
  • Variantieanalyses: actuals versus budget.
  • Inzichten en adviezen geven aan het management m.b.t. trends, risico’s en kansen.
  • Verbetering van processen en documentatie van financiële procedures.
Budgettering en Forecasting
  • Opstellen van jaarlijkse budgetten en rolling forecasts.
  • KPI-monitoring: samenwerken met afdelingshoofden om data en aannames te verzamelen.
Overige Taken
  • Kasstroomrapportage en -analyse.
  • MBR deck voorbereiden.
  • Churn rapportage.
  • Toezicht op debiteuren/crediteuren.
  • Financiële integraties en belastingaangiftes.
Wat We Zoeken
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting of vergelijkbaar; RA of CPA is een plus.
  • Minimaal 4 jaar ervaring in een financiële of boekhoudkundige functie (Big 4-ervaring is een pré).
  • Ervaring met Dutch GAAP én IFRS.
  • Vloeiend in Nederlands én Engels (mondeling en schriftelijk).
  • Proactief, analytisch en communicatief sterk.
