Lead compliance and product strategy for Shimano in EMEA. As Product Compliance Manager you ensure products meet international regulations and market needs, while leading two expert teams in product coordination and compliance.The positionIn this role you combine compliance oversight with market analysis, roadmap planning, stakeholder influencing and cross-functional collaboration to ensure products are both compliant and aligned with business goals. The main purpose is co-ordination of various product related activities in the team itself, but as well with other teams in Shimano Europe Group and for a big part with the Headquarters in Japan. Product compliance the main focus of the job. The workload varies between scheduled work (coordinating the activities of the teams & leading projects) and urgent “firefighting” on urgent issues in relation to production with OEM’s.The Quality & Compliance Team comprises of 5 employees including the team leader. The team ensures that all products (Shimano, Lazer, PRO & Bikefitting) meet applicable regulatory, safety, and quality standards across responsible markets. The Product Coordination Team comprises of 8 employees including the team leader. This team plays an important role in feeding the global headquarter with information that helps defining the direction of the product portfolio. Your main location is the European Headquarters in Eindhoven (for at least 3 days a week). Travel up to 20% through Europe is expected, occasionally travelling to Japan. You will report to the Senior Vice President Shimano Europe.Shimano is looking for a strong communicator that inspires trust & motivates action. Somebody that can balance commercial and technical aspects of the job. Your profile:
  • Academic work and thinking level
  • 5+ experience in management
  • Experience in compliance of technical products
  • International experience, preferably worked with Japan
  • Excellent English skills
