For a sneak peek into life at allnex site, don’t miss our manufacturing !Position OverviewAre you an enthusiastic, driven Safety Professional? Then we’re looking for you to join our SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) team in Bergen op Zoom!
Together with your colleagues, you’ll focus on the entire SHE domain, but within the team, you’ll be the expert on process safety, fire safety, and external safety. You’ll manage the Safety Report (VR) and the fire brigade report, be part of the crisis organization, and in time, you will run consignment shift.Responsibilities
  • You stay informed about what’s happening on the work floor, identify risks and bottlenecks, and maintain active contact with the various departments in bringing these parties together. You act decisively in case of deviations and ensure compliance with SHE standards.
  • You promote the SHE culture and good practices, encourage site cross learning. You lead a group of MVK (secondary safety experts) in a matrix structure by inspiring and motivating them.
  • You develop and monitor initiatives to influence site management and all staff in delivering the short and long term SHE performance. You initiate and lead continuous improvement projects focused on safety and process optimization.
  • You safeguard various processes within the Safety Management System (VBS) and provide specific advice on technical safety issues such as explosion safety, process safety, and fire safety. In case of incidents, you facilitate adequate incident investigations and ensure that corrective and preventive measures are effectively implemented.
Required skills and experience
  • Extensive experience as a Safety officer in a chemical production environment (SEVESO).
  • A technical background is a plus.
  • Energetic, proactive personality with strong leadership skills.
  • Fluency in Dutch, strong communication skills in English.
  • Customer- and solution-oriented, with strong organizational and collaborative abilities.
