Alliander’s Procurement department is undergoing a major transformation. With AI, automation and smart workflow tooling, we’re building the digital capbilities needed to accelerate the energy transition. As Manager Digital Transformation of Procurement, you’ll lead this change from within the business, for the business.Your impact at AllianderYou’ll lead a team of three specialists in data, tooling, and product development, driving the digital transformation of our procurement department. Together you’ll translate strategic goals into scalable digital solutions that deliver measurable value across our supply chains. Improving efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing quality.You have a key position in Alliander’s corporate Fit for Future (F4F) program, which aims to make all business processes digital and future-proof. Within this program, you’ll lead cross-functional collaboration between Procurement, IT, Digitalization, Architecture, and external suppliers. Your leadership will make digital transformation tangible and impactful.Your responsibilities
  • Design and implement digital procurement processes using SAP S/4HANA and best-of-breed solutions
  • Apply AI and automation to category management, should-cost analysis, sourcing workflows, and contract compliance
  • Evaluate and integrate innovations from suppliers such as Ivalua, SAP, Mercell, Sievo, Celonis, Cirtuo, and Red Sheet
  • Align digital solutions with business needs and strategic goals related to the energy transition
  • Position Procurement as a strategic partner within Alliander
  • Deliver improvements in speed, efficiency, cost savings, and value creation
What you bring
  • Academic working and thinking level (WO)
  • At least 10 years of leadership experience in complex transformation environments
  • Proven expertise in digital transformation, AI, automation, and agile methodologies
  • Deep understanding of procurement processes, preferably in production or industrial settings
  • Strong strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and a clear vision for digitalization
  • Experience in program and project management, with a focus on cost, quality, and impact
What we offer
  • A temporary position for 3 years, with a fixed-term employment contract. Internal candidates may be eligible for a special arrangement. The role will be phased out or reconsidered as of January 1, 2029
  • A gross monthly salary between €7,486.87 and €10,695.53 (scale 12, based on a 40-hour workweek)
  • An Individual Choice Budget (IKB) of 18% of your gross annual salary, including AD.
  • End-of-year bonus of 6%
  • A premium pension scheme with ABP, with Alliander covering 70% of the contribution
  • An NS Business Card and kilometre allowance
