
Deputy Country Manager - the Netherlands

Together with all members in the BYD Benelux team, you will steer and contribute to building a strong and sustainable BYD presence in the Netherlands, securing long-term success in this key market in Europe.Your Tasks:
- Deliver national commercial results, translating national strategic targets (e.g., customer satisfaction, network coverage, sales, market share, inventory turnover, profitability) into actionable goals for regional partners, stakeholders, and teams, and overseeing their execution.
- Act as the face of BYD in the Netherlands with industry stakeholders and media; build and strengthen relationships with key partners.
- Manage dealer and partner relations, ensuring high network quality and strict compliance with BYD standards.
- Drive business growth with an omni-channel and “B2B2B2C” approach; negotiate and oversee dealership agreements while fostering teamwork to achieve shared goals.
- Champion a customer-first mindset by understanding evolving needs and working with partners to consistently exceed expectations.
- Oversee and optimize the entire customer journey—from lead generation to order, delivery, and after-sales satisfaction.
- Recruit, develop, and inspire the BYD NL team, ensuring strong performance management, coaching, and talent growth.
- Provide market insights and customer feedback to internal teams, supporting continuous improvement and innovation.
- 10 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in a senior commercial or sales role in the automotive, technology, or consumer retail sector.
- Proven track record in team leadership and achieving business targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated with high adaptability, resilience in a rapidly developing, dynamic environment, and partner effectively with cross-border/cultural teams.
- Fluency in Dutch and English; additional European languages or Chinese Mandarin is a plus.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time with frequent visits to investors and partners.
- Solid understanding of commercial tools, CRM systems, and digital business processes.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
