- Manage the selling process to external customers, including pricing contract negotiations.
- Maintain relationships with top accounts and participate in sales calls.
- Identify account needs, opportunities, and key buying factors for existing customers, and formalize those into account plans and strategies.
- Proactively search, qualify, develop, and engage in new customer relationships.
- Develop local sales support tools and assist in building individual customer strategies, including the identification of up-selling opportunities.
- Set goals with the team and track progress using KPIs, taking corrective action where necessary.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes, ensuring communication and implementation within the team.
- Manage and coach a team of individuals to optimal performance, including setting account strategies, creating account plans, proposal development, negotiation, and service delivery.
- Understand ideal customers and how they relate to services.
- Stay informed about market developments and apply these strategies during negotiations.
- Proficiently communicates in both Dutch and English, written and spoken. Proficiency in another language is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of Container/Shipping Line products and services, local market, competitors, and industry trends is preferred.
- Have 5 to 8 years of experience in sales within an international B2B environment.
- Experience managing and directing a sales team.
