The role is accountable for the reliable delivery of software through the support of the team leads, software engineers and through collaboration with Product, Architecture and key stakeholders.Continue building the credibility and integrity of the NEP platform within and outside of NEP.The key skillset required for this role is proven people and project management skills to ensure our engineers deliver projects on time.You will assist in contributing to the roadmap and strategy for the NEP platform. This role is based at our state-of-the-art media centre in Hilversum and may require occasional travel and weekend work depending on client request.The budgeted salary for this role is EURO 83,000.00 including below benefits.The positionWe require experienced Development Manager to lead and grow our cross-functional engineering organization supporting the Total Facility Control (TFC) platform and broadcast software products. You will oversee the technical teams that are based in Europe-including Front-End, UI/UX & API-ensuring alignment to NEP Platform's strategic vision.This role is crucial for maintaining NEP's high levels of customer satisfaction, optimizing system performance, and ensuring seamless product transitions from development to delivery phases.Key Responsibilities but not limited to:
  • Provide Feedback and Identify opportunities of growth for team members.
  • Support and mentor Team Leads, and Engineers, to establish and maintain a culture of delivering quality solutions.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Scum Masters and Platform Leadership to ensure smooth development of the platform.
  • Highlight and suggest improvements in shortcomings in services, policies or process.
  • Along with Team Leads continually assess technical work within the team and provide feedback.
  • Lead or facilitate cross team initiatives within the NEP Platform team.
  • Recruitment & Retention: Partner with Talent Acquisition to source top engineering and design talent; own onboarding and retention initiatives.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process, tooling, and automation enhancements (build pipelines, test coverage, release management) to boost velocity and quality.
Required skills and attributes:
  • Bachelors or Masters in Computer Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • 1+ years in an Engineering Role
  • 3+ years in a Lead or Management Position
  • Team Building
  • Trustworthy Team Player
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Experience or deep understanding of critical real-time services
