There are no limits to where you can take your career.Job SummaryAs Commercial Manager (IPT), you provide Commercial Leadership and direction for Program Specific customer accounts and interface with the customer on all relevant contractual matters. You work in tandem with the Program Director to drive new business opportunities taking accountability for the commercial viability of each opportunity. You play a key role in negotiation strategy and execution of the strategy and you take the lead on claims management. Furthermore, you act as an escalation point for commercial resolution of customer issues.What you'll do
  • Take the lead role in identifying and managing risk, through contract negotiation, change management, ensuring appropriate pricing and protection is in place.
  • Contributes to the development and implementation of a commercial strategy.
  • Ensure that the appropriate policies and procedures for successful Commercial practice are adhered to.
  • Manages the interface between GKN and its customers to resolve day to day commercial issues and build a strong customer relationship.
  • Takes responsibility and accountability for the commercial performance of the program.
  • Mentor to other members of the Commercial team to increase the knowledge and skill base.
  • Ensure effective commercial change management control, pricing, negotiation and contracts are in place.
  • Ensure customer overdue debt is minimized and that customers pay in accordance with their contractual obligations and where possible maximize cash flow through contracting arrangements with the customer.
  • Ensures that all Bids and Proposals are prepared in accordance with the GKN Aerospace Bid Process.
  • Take responsibility and lead in review and negotiation of Terms and Conditions
What you'll bring
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or contract negotiation related fields
  • A minimum of 5 years contracts experience including customer management, proposal preparation, and pricing and negotiation experience
  • 5+ years of manufacturing industry experience, preferably in Aerospace
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience using Excel as quantitative analysis
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience of identifying contractual risk and proposing effective mitigation strategies
  • Experience of delivering presentations both internally to senior management and externally to customers and third parties.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
- GKN Experience
- Experience of bid proposal development
- Ability to understand and run business models
  • Commercial & Contract Management Certification Program (Practitioner / Advanced Practitioner)
  • Excellent written, verbal, Excel and collaboration skills

  • A gross salary up to € 9.890,- per month, based on the CAO Metalelektro (up to salary scale O) depending on your experience and qualifications,
