We bring together top talent from across the globe to explore the limits of artificial intelligence and deliver real-world impact.Role OverviewWe are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Research Engineer to join our AI research team, with a focus on information retrieval and generative AI models. This role is central to designing and building intelligent systems that improve retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and multimodal AI experiences.You will work collaboratively with researchers, engineers, and scientists to develop scalable, high-performing solutions using large-scale datasets and advanced ML techniques. A special focus will be on multimodal input scenarios, where the system needs to understand and process more than just text.Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and optimize information retrieval models to support RAG systems.
  • Enhance LLM reasoning performance and reduce hallucinations to improve the end-user experience.
  • Conduct research in state-of-the-art NLP, machine learning, and information retrieval methodologies.
  • Develop scalable algorithms for real-time and batch data processing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate RAG capabilities into real-world applications.
  • Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to support ongoing development.
  • Benchmark model performance using both internal metrics and public datasets.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in AI, ML, NLP, and IR.
Required Qualifications
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (with a focus on NLP, ML, or IR).
  • Strong programming skills in Python and experience with PyTorch or similar ML frameworks.
  • In-depth knowledge of deep learning architectures (e.g., Transformers, BERT, GPT).
  • Demonstrated research experience, including publications in top-tier conferences/journals.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR).
  • Expertise in retrieval-based models (e.g., vector space models, BM25, neural retrieval methods).
