Furthermore, we are also a leading supplier of process automation solutions for warehouses, which seamlessly integrate innovative systems, intelligent software and life-cycle services.At Vanderlande, you can develop your career, satisfy your ambitions, aspire to new heights, while enjoying personal growth and thriving on achievement.What will you be doing?You will take the lead in setting, aligning and achieving the sustainability goals for the Business Function Technology, track and trace the progress within the Domains bring them in line with the corporate long term ambition to become a sustainable company. Support the development stream with respect to sustainability requirements – act as feedback loop back to the central sustainability and solutions teams.You will work on internally focused projects that require close liaison with employees from different departments and locations around the world, as well as external projects with relevant stakeholders throughout Vanderlande’s value chain, including customers and suppliers. This position serves as a sustainability ambassador within the Business Function, actively engaged both in internal and external networks. You will be working with management and stakeholders in the BF as well as the corporate Sustainability Team and Domain leads (Airport / Distribution / Warehouse / Finance / HR).ResponsibilitiesDrive sustainability strategy execution:
  • Define, drive, and lead the global sustainability strategy for the BF Technology Developments in line with the corporate sustainability ambition and targets
  • Translate sustainability goals into smaller feasible work packages; including program management on tracking them and report out the progress to BF Technology leadership team and the Global Sustainability Office.
  • Connect all initiatives, projects and actions on sustainability within the BF on how they contribute to the long term success. Be an active project team member of the Science Based Targets initiative of Vanderlande to help reduce our carbon footprint.
Be a sustainability ambassador:
  • Setup and drive the BF sustainability network and actively engage with the corporate Sustainability Team and Sustainability Leads from other Units
  • Support overall sustainability development within the BF Technology and foster the growing sustainability mindset
  • Building bridges across disciplines, Domains & Departments. The program & related projects have a cross-discipline, cross- Domain character & requires departments working together
Increase sustainability capabilities:
  • Support the commercial success of the BF by integrating and positioning Sustainability as a key success factor and define how sustainability as competitive advantage looks like
  • Specify and implement learning, development and information needs to increase levels of awareness, knowledge and ability to improve expertise of sustainability topics.
  • There is room for leading / owning sustainable initiatives within the BF that help move our sustainable development forward.
  • With in- and external partners (domain leads, regions, marketing, universities, industry bodies, etc.) educate and position the sustainability ambition.
  • Connect with relevant external stakeholders to learn about sustainability developments and bring this knowledge to Vanderlande.
