Job DescriptionBusiness Development Manager required to join a growing quantum computing company. In this role, you'll drive growth across the EMEA region by developing new academic partnerships with universities and research centers. You'll manage the full sales cycle, build long-term relationships, and help world-class researchers adopt cutting-edge quantum control solutions. This position is ideal for a technically minded sales professional with a proven track record in complex solution selling and a passion for deep-tech innovation.Responsibilities
  • Identify, pursue, and grow sales opportunities while building strong, lasting relationships with academic institutions.
  • Understand customer needs and demonstrate how our products and solutions can address their unique challenges in research and quantum development
  • Manage the full sales process, from proactive outreach and lead generation through deal closure and long-term account management.
  • Act as the link between customers and internal teams, including product management, application scientists, and marketing, ensuring seamless collaboration and delivery.
  • Develop and execute business plans to achieve and exceed annual sales targets, directly driving company growth in the academic sector.
  • Promote best practices and share knowledge across the sales team to ensure a scalable and sustainable approach.
Requirements
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with EMEA customers.
  • Skilled at asking the right questions, actively listening, and understanding the unique needs of academic institutions.
  • High technical literacy with a background in engineering, physics, or related fields, and experience in deep-tech or scientific sales.
  • 5+ years of success in growth-oriented sales, with strong experience in new business development, complex technical sales, or consultative solution selling.
