Freelance/ZZP: Not allowedAbout the roleAre you an experienced architect who thrives on leading complex IT and engineering initiatives within a large international environment? For the Area Engineering Journey , we are looking for an Area Architect who sets the direction, provides guidance, and drives the development of a future-proof engineering platform.In this position, you will be responsible for the business architecture within the Area Engineering Journey (part of Tech4Engineering). The mission of this area is to create one central place for all engineers . This includes Nexa – the platform supporting engineers with IT Service Management, portals, compliance insights, intelligence, and more.Your responsibilitiesProvide functional leadership to a team of six solution architects, ensuring the right decisions are made at the right time.Work closely with the Area Lead (business) and Tech Lead (technology) as part of the area’s leadership triangle, jointly realizing the vision for the Engineering Journey.Take an active role in the migration of IT Service Management from the end-of-life on-premises Service Manager 9 to the cloud-based HaloITSM.Drive the further development of the Configuration Management System (CMS) on the Global Data Platform (Azure).Guide the evolution of Nexa Portal and Nexa Intelligence , with co-creation as a key principle, enabling teams across the bank to contribute effectively while maintaining control and quality.Influence, inspire, and align stakeholders on both strategic and operational levels.What you bringA Master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.10+ years of professional experience, including at least 4 years in architecture.Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide, influence, and connect stakeholders across multiple teams.Proven conceptual thinker: able to translate high-level strategies into concrete solutions.Full proficiency in English (required), Dutch is an advantage.
