In 2019, KARL LAGERFELD joined as a founding member of the Fashion Pact, a global sustainability initiative seeking to transform the fashion industry through objectives in three areas: climate, biodiversity and ocean protection.The RoleThe Samples Specialist is responsible for overseeing all of Karl Lagerfeld's RTW, Accessories, Home and KL Jeans samples, handling sample requests and shipments, coordinating the samples for shoot productions. This includes maintaining a strong inventory, overview for each season and good communication between divisions. The role will sit at Studio Karl in the Houthavens.The role will closely liaise with the Manager of Content Operations & Production to ensure all studio bookings and planned productions are well considered. \nKey Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for all sample inventory management, using Creative Force for operational purposes
  • Key contact person for Studio Karl
  • Scheduling support when needed
  • Overseeing tasks and responsibilities to ensure all projects are managed effectively and sufficiently
  • Responsible for the maintenance, management and replenishment of the samples in Karl's Wardrobeand coordination on shoot productions
  • Preparing all samples for e-commerce shoots by providing the correct code and logistical information to support on shoots
  • Supporting on shooting days
  • Coordinate sample shipments for photo shoots which includes, but is not limited to ensuring that all new samples arrive on time, tracking inventory and printing barcodes for products
  • Maintain and manage stocks systems
  • Being able to find alternatives and solutions for inventory management
  • Liaising with other departments when required to ensure the smooth running of the sampling department and to assist with projects
  • Understanding the shot packages for shoots and needs in order to support smooth production for shoots.
Skills, Education & Experience:
  • 3 years of experience within a studio environment;
  • Experience working with sample management;
  • Must be highly organized, able to take direction and work independently;
  • Proficient in MS Excel is a must;
  • Knowledge of Creative Force is a plus;
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills and be able to work in a professional manner;
  • Must have proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, provide high level of attention to detail and handle multiple deadlines simultaneously;
  • Strong communication skills.
