We're
looking for a hands-on, technically curious and proactive engineer to
support and drive innovation within our facility. You will have the
opportunity to build and test cutting-edge systems that push the
boundaries of energy and data technology.Your responsibilities will include:
  • Designing and implementing an electricity monitoring infrastructure within our building and test setups
  • Making power usage data accessible and visual online in real-time
  • Connecting this data to a smart battery system (energy storage and control)
  • Developing forecasting models to predict energy demand and generation
  • (Bonus) Creating 3D technical designs for hardware setups or system components
You will work closely with management but will often operate independently on key technical projects.RequirementsWhat We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree (HBO) in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or similar
  • Strong interest in sustainability, energy systems, and technical innovation
  • Experience with sensor systems, data acquisition, or IoT platforms is a plus
  • Familiarity with Python, MATLAB, or similar tools for modeling or forecasting is beneficial
  • Able to work independently, hands-on, and solution-oriented
  • Experience with CAD/3D design tools (e.g. SolidWorks, Fusion 360) is an advantage (Bonus points for FreeCAD)
  • Good communication skills in English or Dutch
