- Orchestrate complex infrastructure projects: You'll be the central point of coordination for projects related to data center strategy, network standardization, and overall platform improvements. This involves managing timelines, dependencies, risks, and communication across multiple engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Execute data center footprint optimization: You will be instrumental in executing data center expansion and consolidation initiatives. This includes coordinating the technical aspects of bringing new data center locations online and decommissioning existing ones, ensuring minimal disruption and adherence to established plans.
- Facilitate cross-team collaboration: You'll act as the primary interface between various infrastructure, platform engineering, and application teams, ensuring clear communication, alignment on technical requirements, and efficient progress on project deliverables.
- Manage technical dependencies: You'll proactively identify and manage technical dependencies between different workstreams within complex projects, ensuring smooth integration and preventing roadblocks that could delay delivery.
- Track and report progress: You'll be responsible for tracking project progress, identifying potential risks and issues, and providing clear and concise updates to stakeholders to keep projects on course.
- Ensure organizational efficiency and clarity: You'll leverage your understanding of structure and organization to establish clear processes, documentation, and workflows for efficient project execution.
- Technical liaison: You'll utilize your technical proficiency to understand the intricacies of infrastructure and platform engineering, enabling you to effectively communicate with and support the engineering teams to drive project completion.
- 5+ years of experience as a Technical Project Manager or in a similar technical project coordination role within a complex technology environment.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and discuss infrastructure and platform engineering concepts (e.g., networking, data centers, cloud infrastructure). You don't need to be a hands-on engineer, but technical fluency is essential.
- Exceptional organizational and coordination skills with a proven ability to manage complex, multi-faceted projects with numerous stakeholders and dependencies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to drive execution and ensure the timely delivery of project objectives.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
- Experience working with infrastructure and platform engineering teams is highly preferred.
- Experience in a high-growth, global technology company is a plus.
- Experience with data center build-outs or migrations and network standardization projects is a significant advantage.
