We need to upgrade existing products and design-in the latest generation of our high-tech equipment. You will modify, update and build a 3D model of brackets, cabling and components for the luminaire construction. Together with team members, you will build a new prototype and get it tested in the lab for mechanical properties (e.g. shock & vibration tests). Do you like to work with cutting edge technology? Then you are what we’re looking for.We work with a great team of in- and external counterparts in a highly dynamic and high-energy startup environment, within a large international company and you’ll have the unique opportunity to shape a new business direction with high ambitions.What you’ll do:- Discuss with colleagues what the product is all about, what the design challenges are. Study the existing prototype to deepen your understanding, both in CAD files (SolidEdge) and actual product sample.- Re-design various product components (sub-assemblies) in SolidEdge.- Get the new components made by internal and external workshops and re-build the prototype according to the new design.- Get the new design tested for mechanical properties: shock & vibration, Ingress (IP) and Impact (IK) resistance.- Present your findings and hand-over to the team so that we can productize your product.Your qualifications:- Bachelor or Master student Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Design.- Practical experience with SolidEdge (2023).- Has “hands-on” mentality who is eager to “learn-by-trying”.- Good communication skills.What you’ll get in return- Internship allowance: the exact amount depends on your situation (also towards rented accommodation or public transportation).- Paid leave on the basis of 1 day per month.- Extensive set of tools to drive your career, such as a personalized learning platform.- Opportunity to purchase products in the staff shop (MyShop) at reduced prices.We’re offering multiple opportunities for career development, like mentoring, coaching and stretch assignments, with strong international exposure for dynamic profiles.
