Job Category: Finance & AccountingJob Description:As Finance Manager at Socomec B.V., a subsidiary with approximately 28 employees in the Netherlands, you will be fully responsible for all financial operations and play a key strategic role in supporting business decisions. Your responsibilities include managing the company's bookkeeping - covering accounts receivable, accounts payable, and VAT compliance - as well as overseeing payroll and personnel administration. You will also lead monthly and annual financial reporting to Socomec HQ in France and ensure proper tax return management and compliance with local regulations.Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will act as a trusted Business Partner by delivering accurate and timely financial insights that support decision-making across areas such as financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow), credit management, deal validation, investment analysis, and forecasting. You will monitor and analyse variances between budget and actuals, provide detailed commentary, and help guide corrective actions. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing quarterly P&L forecasts and leading the annual budgeting process.A critical part of your role will involve reviewing and tracking the profitability of the Dutch subsidiary, evaluating the financial impact of major deals, and maintaining strong relationships with the finance team at HQ. You will also demonstrate an interest in improving internal systems and reporting tools, contributing to more efficient and transparent financial management. As the person accountable for the full P&L of the Netherlands, you will serve as the right hand to the Managing Director, playing a key part in both operational and strategic initiatives.What You Bring
  • 7+ years of experience in Finance/Accounting roles.
  • Master's Degree or HBO in Finance, Accountancy, or Business Economics.
  • Strong knowledge of Dutch GAAP, VAT, and tax regulations.
  • Proficient in Excel, ERP systems, and BI tools (QlikSense, etc.).
  • Fluent in Dutch and English (French is a plus!).
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and hands-on with excellent interpersonal skills.
