As a Network Engineer you carry out predominantly internal focused projects e.g. security MDR, baselining your responsibilities may also include design to replacement of a single network component, for complex customer transactions.Your responsibilities
- Designing, implementing, managing, optimizing and maintaining an optimal technical network infrastructure.
- Responsible for the design of (sub)components of the network infrastructure.
- Handling (complex) changes and incidents.
- Support in analyzing and defining network related problems and replacement of network components.
- Providing breakdown and escalation services.
- Accounting for and documenting the work in the call registration system.
- Designing, implementing, installing, configuring and maintaining Firewalls, Routers, switches. This also includes the processes: incident, problem and change management.
- Advising and assisting customers with regard to their ICT infrastructure.
- Ensure further development of the infrastructure based on decision-making and market developments.
- As a Senior you coach junior and Medior network administrators
In an ideal world you have knowledge of all the products below, are you not familiar with one? Then we will train you in this.
- Knowledge of and experience with network, router and firewall equipment e.g. Cisco, Arista, Fortinet, F5, Arista, HP, Dell, Aruba, NSX-T.
- Knowledge and experience with IP Technology, VoIP, WiFi, Protocol analyzers.
- Extensive knowledge of and experience with operational network management.
- Knowledge and experience of network design.
- Knowledge and experience with different Linux distributions is an advantage.
