  • Our goal: To improve and future-proof the IT processes and facilities at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASoS).
  • Your colleagues: A small and dynamic IT team working closely with central ICTS and colleagues across the faculty.
In this role, three IT-related responsibilities come together: project leadership, information security, and IT support.What you doYour main focus will be project leadership . You will coordinate the implementation of projects with central ICTS, as well as internal projects related to hardware or software implementation. You will drive process improvements in incident and asset management. You will develop and deploy hardware (MacBooks, tablets, smartphones) and support the Information Manager in rolling out centrally initiated IT projects.You will also have an affinity for information security and advise the data steward and researchers on data management, storage, and the safe use of applications. You will lead awareness initiatives within the faculty, conduct risk analyses, and maintain a risk registry.As part of a small team, you will also be involved in IT support. This mainly means providing second-line support to colleagues and managing IT support tickets that relate to ongoing projects, require long-term assistance, or call for process improvements.And there's more: as IT becomes increasingly important within our faculty, this role offers opportunities for growth.   • Experience in IT support and implementation. Preferably including the coordination of local projects.
  • Analytical and process-oriented. You have an overview of projects and can develop work processes.
  • Strong communicator. You can take people along in changes.
  • Independent and structured. You work in a planned and organised way and know how to set priorities.
  • Excellent command of English. And a good command of Dutch (B1 level) or the willingness to learn it.
What we offerAs IT Coordinator at Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences , you will be employed by the most international university in the Netherlands, located in the beautiful city of Maastricht. In addition, we offer you:
  • Good employment conditions. The position is graded in scale 10 /11 with a corresponding salary based on experience ranging from €3546,00 and €6433,00 gross per month (based on a full-time employment of 38 hours per week). In addition to the monthly salary, an 8.0% holiday allowance and an 8.3% year-end bonus apply.
  • An employment contract for a period of 12 months with a scope of 0,8 - 1,0 FTE. Upon proven suitability, the employment contract will be converted to an indefinite contract.
  • At Maastricht University, the well-being of our employees is of utmost importance, we offer flexible working hours and the possibility to work partly from home if the nature of your position allows it. You will receive a monthly commuting and internet allowance for this. If you work full-time, you will be entitled to 29 vacation days and 4 additional public holidays per year, namely carnival Monday, carnival Tuesday, Good Friday, and Liberation Day. If you choose to accumulate compensation hours, an additional 12 days will be added. Furthermore, you can personalize your employment conditions through a collective labor agreement (CAO) choice model.
