We deliver expert-level consulting and chemical innovation to help our clients create cleaner, safer, and more efficient operations – with sustainability at the core of everything we do.We are now looking for a Business Development Manager – Food Safety, who will help us grow our consulting portfolio in the Benelux and Nordic markets. In this strategic commercial role, you will develop new business, build lasting partnerships, and ensure successful project delivery for major clients in the food sector.What you’ll do
- Lead food safety consulting sales in your region (Benelux + Nordics): from client conversations to contract closing and implementation.
- Develop strong client relationships with food producers, retailers, and service providers – becoming their go-to partner for food safety and hygiene solutions.
- Drive commercial growth through strategic planning, forecasting, and pipeline development. You’ll be responsible for your own financial targets (revenue, profitability, margin).
- Oversee project delivery: ensure agreed timelines, resources, and quality are met by coordinating both internal consultants and external service providers (labs, transport, etc).
- Contribute to team building: help recruit and train new consultants, build partnerships, and expand the footprint of our consultancy offering in key markets.
- A degree (Bachelor or Master) in food safety, food science, food technology, quality management or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience in food safety, operational excellence, or quality management – ideally with customer-facing or consulting exposure.
- Commercial insight: you understand business needs and translate them into compelling proposals.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills – you’re confident in dealing with both technical and strategic audiences.
- Fluent in Dutch and English (French or a Nordic language is a plus).
- Based in Belgium or the Netherlands – with ability to travel occasionally across the region (a company car and fuel card are included).
