Every day is a new adventure as a control tower specialist at DSV!You get it doneOur European Control Tower is divided into various verticals. Depending on your knowledge, experience, and interests, you will play an essential role within one of these verticals. Tech, fashion or chemicals. Together with your team, you ensure a smooth customer implementation and further develop the customer relationship. To set you up for success, you'll first gain hands-on experience in our freight forwarding department, learning the ins and outs of our operations. This knowledge will give you a clear understanding of how our processes work, enabling you to provide exceptional support to our customers from day one: you're on it.How you do this? You always aim for the ultimate customer experience! At DSV, you are in contact with our international customers every day. You are their go-to person, ensuring that their shipments arrive at the destination on time and without issues. You act as the link between our customers and colleagues. If there are delays or issues, you provide the best solutions in consultation with your team and the customer. You achieve this by:
- creating reports in Excel, handling complaints/ claims, and processing additional logistics administration in our system;
- identifying, analyzing and resolving deviations in the process;
- expanding the customer relationship and recognizing business opportunities;
- maintaining close contact with internal departments, including your colleagues from planning, sales and crossdock.
- passion for transport and logistics, which you can also convey to others;
- a background within logistics or transportation, for example as customer service representative or transport planner;
- a service-oriented mindset, thinking in solutions, working well in a team, and only being satisfied when the work is done;
- social skills, a healthy dose of humor, and no fear of picking up the phone;
- proficient in both Dutch and English.
