The client is one of the Netherlands' biggest dairy products manufacturers who is also active globally.Role Description
As an OT Engineer, you'll play a key role in bridging the gap between operational technology and production processes at the Lochem site. You'll be part of a dynamic OT team, working in a complex industrial environment where automation systems are critical to daily operations. Your focus will be on maintaining, improving, and supporting automation infrastructure to ensure smooth and efficient production.Responsibilities
  • Managing and optimizing SCADA systems, especially Wonderware (AVEVA).
  • Configuring, testing, and maintaining PLC systems using Siemens Step 7 and TIA Portal.
  • Conducting I/O testing, signal verification, and hardware setup.
  • Interpreting electrical schematics and network layouts.
  • Supporting FAT/SAT testing and commissioning of new installations.
  • Maintaining documentation and controlling software/hardware versions.
  • Advising on and implementing process improvements and standardization.
  • Collaborating with contractors and internal teams such as production and technical services.
Requirements
  • MBO+/HBO degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or a related field.
  • Proven experience with Siemens Step 7, TIA Portal, and SCADA Wonderware.
  • Familiarity with field instrumentation (sensors, transmitters, actuators).
  • Experience in documentation and version control.
  • Strong affinity with process technology and industrial systems.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious mindset.
  • Fluent in Dutch (required).
  • Knowledge of IT/OT network infrastructure and cybersecurity.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience.
