- Prepare a variety of Indian dishes through tasks such as washing, cutting, pre-cooking, mixing, and stirring.
- Assess the quality and freshness of ingredients used in food preparation.
- Execute cooking activities à la minute, ensuring quality, taste, doneness, color, and consistency of dishes, making necessary adjustments as needed.
- Prepare and present orders, ensuring proper portioning and garnishing.
- Oversee and guide the work of assistant chefs, providing directions and instructions.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including Arbo and HACCP standards, as well as adherence to work and presentation methods.
- Plan daily kitchen activities and manage food orders and stock replenishments from regular suppliers.
- Monitor shelf life and uphold strict hygiene standards.
- MBO Level 3 work and thinking capability.
- Proven knowledge of basic cooking techniques.
- Familiarity with ingredients/products and the composition of the menu.
- Quality-oriented and detail-focused.
- Ability to work well under pressure and remain stress-resistant.
- Flexibility to work morning, afternoon, and/or evening shifts as needed.
