Swift now has a presence in 200+ countries and legal territories to serve a community of more than 12,000 banks and financial institutions.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a junior threat intelligence analyst you will be part of our Cyber Threat Management and serve the organisation and stakeholders globally. You will be integrated within our 'cyber threat intelligence program' which directs our global efforts to identify and manage threats to Swift. In this team you will work directly together with (senior) analysts and report to the head of Cyber Threat Intelligence.Below we listed some examples of what we envision you to be involved with. We recognize that most of these efforts will also be tailored to the individual, so don't worry if not everything makes sense:
  • Conducting open source intelligence collection using various tools and sources and performing research tasks. Processing data from a variety of sources to enable the production of intelligence products on tactical, operational and strategic level. Bringing value to the company every day.
  • Compile, verify accuracy and sort information according to organizational priorities and stakeholder needs to prepare source data for computer entry. Working continuously to ensure that our stakeholders receive the intelligence they require at the moment that they need it. Contributing to intelligence products and supporting investigations when needed.
  • Analysing and storing data and information in our central repositories, following to our standards and guidelines. Insert threat information by inputting text-based, numerical and data from source documents into internal repository within time limits. Helping us learn and improve from your expertise as well.
  • Conduct (in-person or virtual) threat-based briefings to internal stakeholders. Enabling collaboration with various security & business functions in the company by arranging information sharing sessions to stay up-to-date with cyber security development and the evolving threat landscape

In a personal conversation we will provide you more examples and we will articulate how the junior analyst role relates to our daily efforts.Competency ProfileThis vacancy concerns an entry level position. As such, we do not have similar requirements as we would have for more senior roles. We do have some specific requirements, because we believe these will allow you to be successful at Swift:
  • Passionate about the topic of threat intelligence and an eager learning mindset. We will introduce you to so many new and complex topics, we sometimes need you to continue and learn on your own.
  • We believe it is useful to be accurate and methodical. Combining this with communication skills will allow you to build a structured and data driven story. In addition, you will be capable of effectively managing workload and time to meet deadlines.
  • Finally, you will be working in a global team with people from various backgrounds, gender, and dispositions. It is important that you have an open and constructive mindset when working together.
